One of the biggest myths in entrepreneurship is that in order to earn more, you must work more.
Hustle culture glorifies the grind — long nights, jam-packed schedules, and 60-hour work weeks. I believed that too.
I was stuck in a cycle of longer hours and shorter to-do lists, constantly worried that stepping away would cause everything to fall apart.
But what if scaling your business while working less is not only possible, but actually the key to long-term, sustainable success?
If you’re someone who’s building your business for the long haul — not the burnout sprint — this is for you.
I’m going to share exactly how I reduced my working hours from 30+ per week to just 15, while maintaining my income and elevating my client experience.
First let’s start with…

From Burnout to Balance: My Turning Point
At one point, I realized I was measuring my success by the number of hours I spent at my desk — not by the results I was producing, the value I was delivering, or the life I wanted to lead.
And I knew something had to change.
I wanted more time for my creative passions.
I wanted to spend more time with my family and to be more present with myself and life outside business.
I desired to secure more time to pick up my passion for drawing again after years leaving that skill redundant.
But most of all, I wanted to build a business that felt aligned — not one that ran me into the ground.
I knew more than strategy, my mindset had to shift because I was holding on to some myths that just didn’t cut it!
🚫 The Mindset Myths That Held Me Back
In total honesty — I had some serious mindset myths to unravel. Here’s a few of them:
1. “Less Work = Less Profit”
I believed that fewer hours meant less income. But that thinking isn’t rooted in truth — it’s rooted in fear and self-doubt.
If your business revenue is directly tied to the number of hours you work, then your growth is capped.
We all have only 24 hours in a day in the long run. If you believe you must do more to earn more, you’re automatically limiting your potential.
As I was too… But that wasn’t the worst of myths I held on to
2. “Less Work = Less Integrity”
I thought reducing my hours would mean I was letting down my clients or compromising my integrity.
But in reality, long hours were draining my energy — making me less effective, not more.
The truth is, leading from exhaustion is not leadership.
Because integrity isn’t about being busy.
It’s about delivering transformation, and you can’t do that when you’re constantly burnt out.
3. “This Is Just the Way It’s Done”
I was working someone else’s business model.
I was following a script from movies, mentors, or industry norms that didn’t align with my actual values or desired lifestyle.
I craved a different rhythm — one that honored my energy, my creativity, and my life outside of work.
So I gave myself permission to rewrite the rules.
This was exactly what I did
🔁 Energy Over Time: The Shift That Changed Everything
It finally hit me — energy is more important than time.
Your best ideas, your most transformational offers, your strongest client results — they don’t come from more hours.
They come from being fully present and energized in the hours you do work.
I didn’t need more time.
I needed a new way to work.
The RAW Blueprint: My 4-Part Framework
Once I shifted my mindset, I implemented a simple but powerful framework that I now call the CALM ROAR Blueprint.
Here’s a high-level look at what it includes:
1. Release
This phase was about letting go of anything that no longer aligned with the business I wanted to build. That meant:
- Outdated offers
- Misaligned clients
- Inefficient systems
- Unhealthy beliefs
It was deep work. But it created space for what truly served me and my vision.
2. Optimize
Once I cleared the clutter, I focused on refining what was already working. This included:
- Streamlining client experiences
- Refining offers that were aligned
- Enhancing backend systems
- Optimizing my energy and schedule
You don’t need to throw everything out. You need to fine-tune the gold you’ve already built.
3. Ascend
This is where I stepped fully into my CEO identity.
I made strategic, high-level decisions that aligned with my energy and vision:
- Speaking on podcasts instead of grinding on social media
- Creating YouTube videos instead of spending hours designing in Canva
- Choosing visibility strategies that felt expansive, not draining
This is about becoming the visionary leader — not just the doer.
4. Reign
This final stage is about ownership and leadership:
- Defining your role and authority in your business and industry
- Delegating or refining team responsibilities
- Taking full control of your schedule and boundaries
This is where you lead not just your business — but your legacy.
🚀 The Results: More Freedom, More Profit, More Purpose
By integrating the CALM ROAR Blueprint, I went from 30-40 hours a week to just 15 — without sacrificing:
- Profit
- Client relationships
- Business growth
- Vision alignment
I finally had time for my family. For creativity. For me.
And most importantly, I was leading my business with more energy, more clarity, and more alignment than ever before.
