You’re Not Scatterbrained — You’re Multi-Passionate (Here’s How to Work With Your Brilliance Without Burning Out)

|

If you’ve been told you’re doing too much, chasing too many dreams, or just need to “focus on one thing”…

I want you to pause.
Take a breath.
And throw that whole idea in the bin.

The Myth of Being “All Over the Place”

As multi-passionate entrepreneurs, we carry so much brilliance — but it’s often misunderstood.

Because we move quickly.
Because we dream big.
Because we want to do things our way.

To others, that looks like chaos.
To us, it’s creation.

But even when we know that, the internalized shame begins to emerge.

Thoughts like “maybe I really am doing too much” start to creep in.

That’s why this conversation matters.

Why “Just Focus on One Thing” Doesn’t Work

The traditional advice doesn’t land for us.

We’re not wired to work linearly.

We’re not wired to shut off parts of our creativity.

We’re not built to “niche down” our brilliance into one little box.

Instead, we need a new framework — one that honours our capacity and protects our energy.

The Shift: Prioritising vs. Focusing

Here’s the magic question to ask:

“What am I prioritising right now?”

Notice: It’s not “What am I ONLY allowed to do?”

It’s: What gets most of my energy this season?
Everything else? Still on the radar. Still alive. Just not front row.

The Energy Batching Framework

Instead of juggling everything all the time, try this rhythm-based method:

Quarterly Priority Rotation
Assign primary focus to one business or project per quarter. Bring in clients, build momentum.

Low-Lift Maintenance
For your other businesses or ideas, keep visibility or progress at a lighter pace. Consider content repurposing. Think about soft launches or low-touch visibility strategies.

Mental Bucketing
Group ideas and give them a “not now” status — honour them by storing, not suppressing.

This protects your energy without cutting your creativity off at the knees.

Let Go of the Guilt

You are not flaky.
You are not unfocused.
You’re brilliant.

And when you start leading your business in a way that works with your wiring, instead of against it?

You get to keep your freedom, your revenue — and your peace.
