You’re right now growing one business and the business is thriving, but you feel hedged to a corner where it seems like you could be exploring more passions that you have.
But you are concerned that you will be hurting the relationship with people that you care about.
First of all, I want to say that you are not alone and there is absolutely a way around this.
In this post, I want to share myths that you should discard to attract your best clients as you explore an additional passion while growing your present business.
This is a question that one amazing woman came to my DM to ask and I thought it would be such a great topic to chat about in this blog post.
The four MYTHS I’m about to share apply if you’re just starting out in your entrepreneurship journey or you’re already growing one business and you want to integrate a new passion or skill into that existing business or you want to start a completely new business.
Let’s dive in!
#1 MYTH Preventing You From attracting your best clients as a multi-passionate entrepreneur
The first myth is thinking that you have to choose only one audience type. This is a very popular myth that I see a lot of the time.
You DO NOT have to choose or you do not have to have only one type of audience OR one type of clientele as a multi-passionate entrepreneur.
You can have multiple types of clientele for multiple types of businesses.
I know you have heard about the client avatar like demography and psychographic and this might counter everything you’ve learnt about crafting a compelling client avatar as a multi-passionate entrepreneur.
While that is great, I believe that as multi-passionate entrepreneurs, this is not something that we might necessarily follow down to the book.
How I choose my ideal client as a multi-passionate entrepreneur
This is how I approach targeting my ideal client as a multi-passionate and speaking to them in my content.
Instead of choosing a demography or a psychographic or whatever, I look at the values in the person and the ideal reality they are looking to upgrade into.
This would determine whether I’ll choose one type of clientele or multiple types of clientele.
I look at the values that this person upholds and how I can target these values in the way I attract them through my content, sales processes, branding, Thought Leadership marketing, and so on.
I use a formula called the ACT method.
There is no rule in the type of audience that you have to choose, especially because you will be spotlighting the values they uphold, beliefs they have, their type of lifestyle, desire they have and more.
You don’t have to choose one type of audience if that is not the way you want to run your business.
If, for example, you want to have multiple offers inside your business, that is absolutely possible!
Of course, there should be a specific signature offer that you sell consistently throughout the year even if you also have different clientele for multiple types of clients.
However the type of clients you attract can have uniqueness in values, beliefs, lifestyle preferences etc.
When you are focused on calling out the values that your ideal clients uphold, it does not matter whether you have multiple audience types or one audience type.
So there is absolutely no rule and this brings us to the next myth that you need to completely dislodge.
#2 MYTH Preventing You From attracting your best clients as a multi-passionate entrepreneur
The second myth that you need to completely dislodge for you to be able to attract your best clientele as a multi-passionate entrepreneur is thinking you need to attract multiple audience types.
You do not have to.
You need to dislodge this myth that you need multiple audience types.
You get to do what feels right for you.
In fact, you get to do what is aligned with what I call your Multi-faceted charm which is your unique way of thriving as a multi-passionate entrepreneur.
This allows you to understand what your energy level is.
It allows you to understand how you can manage your time more effectively and even what your unique way of leading yourself is.
When you are able to have mastery of all of these things, then it becomes easier to choose your ideal path when it comes to working with multiple client types or one unique client type.
Your decision gets to be what you feel is right for you and what you can hold depending on factors like your energy level, time that you have available, the type of business, and the structure you have around your business.
There’s so many factors that will determine whether or not you want to be able to serve multiple audience types or you want to be able to serve one type of audience in your business.
So yes, it’s also possible if you have multiple offers inside your business and you’re serving one type of audience through those multiple offers.
Many people do that when they’re really focused mainly on personal branding or any other one of the positioning strategies that I shared in this post.
Case Study of how I attract multiple audience types in my business as a multi-passionate entrepreneur
To put this into context, in this business, the Purposefully Ambitious Coaching, I have two main types of audience/clientele.
The first type of audience are multi-passionate entrepreneurs who have one business, and desire to explore more passions that you have. The second type of audience are multi-passionate entrepreneurs with multiple businesses.
In fact, that’s still basically one audience type; multi-passionate entrepreneurs, but they are on different stages in their journey.
This is also a factor you could consider.
Are your ideal clients at different stages in their journey?
The audience type of multi-passionate entrepreneurs with one business who desire to explore other passions they have need support around areas like structuring their business to accommodate other passions and managing their time.
The multiple business owner audience category needs support around advanced time mastery, scaling their businesses, building systems to serve their audience more effectively so they can take themselves out of the business and do other things that light them up.
Summarily on this, it is basically up to you whether or not you want to attract one type of audience or you want to attract multiple types of audience.
There’s absolutely no right or wrong way.

#3 MYTH Preventing You From attracting your best clients as a multi-passionate entrepreneur
The third myth is thinking that your audience will be confused if you start talking about multiple things.
This is completely zoned out when you are using the three main positioning strategies that I shared in this post on the three main positioning strategies for multi-passionate entrepreneurs.
Other multi-passionate coaches and mentors teach you to position with your personal brand and build your multi-passionate business around your personal brand so you can talk about multiple things.
But I have two additional positioning strategies and you can read all about it in that post.
How to attract your best clients even when you talk about multiple things as a multi-passionate entrepreneur
When you can effectively leverage any of these positioning strategies, the concern that you will be confusing your audience if you talk about multiple things becomes inconsequential.
If for example you have a copywriting business and you start talking about mindset or a copywriting business and start talking about baking, the way you leverage your positioning strategy will support you.
If you are positioning with your personal brand, it will make no sense if you are not now talking about multiple things, because your audience will want to connect with you and not just your business/offers.
You can also talk about multiple things to the same type of people that love you and all you stand for. This is why I love attracting my audience based on qualities like their values because now you’re not just attracting them based on the offers they desire from your business, but you’re attracting them based on the values that they uphold and the lifestyle they’re looking to upgrade into.
With that in mind, you are able to dislodge any thought of “this IS one topic I’m only interested in” because your audience might have unique values distinct and that encompasses multiple solutions they’re looking for around their business, their relationship, their lifestyle and more.
This is what I do with this blog and YouTube channel. I’m attracting people based on the values, beliefs and other qualities that they have and so I can more effectively explore myself as a multi-passionate entrepreneur.
I talk about multiple things and attract ideal clients into a more intimate container where I can serve them. That could be the Wealthy Multi-passionate Immersion Circle for multi-passionate entrepreneurs or my digital consulting services.
When you’re able to put all these things in place, you will not be confusing your audience while talking about multiple things because you’re highlighting different values, beliefs that they have, the lifestyle they want to upgrade into, the identity shifts they want to have, etc.
You’re speaking to them directly and you look at them as more than just the recipient of a specific solution you can offer them. To you, they are holistic beings.
#4 MYTH Preventing You From attracting your best clients as a multi-passionate entrepreneur
The final myth that you want to completely dislodge is thinking that you have to be validated in your passions before you can express them.
I saw this comment one time and I was like, oh my god, this is a very interesting myth.
Thinking you’ve got to be validated or be in this high authority level before you can start expressing more passions, or going deeper into your other passions is simply a myth. You do not need to be validated in your passion before you can express yourself.
In fact, I say all the time that because you have that passion, you’re already validated.
If you’ve been in my space for a while, you know that I say passion is anything that stirs your creative juice, sense of innovation and even your sense of identity.
So it’s right to say that your passion is already a part of you in some way. Of course, it’s not as innate as a gift, but it is what you have learned to evolve into.
It’s also what you embrace, for example, as a result of the beliefs and the values that you have had exposure to from the beginning of your life or at a certain point in your life.
So you can debunk any thought that you need to be validated in that passion before you can express them. You absolutely do not!
In fact, your best clients are looking for this passion. They desire to see you spotlight more of your passions.
Conclusively on Myths Preventing You From attracting your best clients as a multi-passionate entrepreneur
Whether you have multiple businesses or you are looking to start a new business or integrate a passion into present your business, these are myths that you can completely dislodge to attract your best clients as a multi-passionate entrepreneur.
You can elevate into the ideal position of multi-dimensional thought leadership and authority as a multi-passionate entrepreneur.
